Hello Hound

EXPERIENCE + PRICING

Nothing beats walking the shores of Tampa Bay’s beautiful Gulf beaches with your dog. Here at Hello Hound our goal is not only to capture your dog the way you know them, but to ensure that you and your dog have a comfortable and enjoyable evening.  Sessions are not timed and we progress through at your dog’s pace. This allows them time to decompress, get acquainted with myself, and permits them to have any over all great time. After all, they don’t know that their evening adventure is to get their portrait taken.

What your dog can expect

01.

Your dog is a unique individual & I am a stranger to them

While by the time it is your session date, you and I have had many conversations and are familiar with each other, your dog will not be familiar with me. Don't worry though, we will be good friends by the end of the session! All sessions start with a short walk; this allows your dog to decompress and to get comfortable with me being in theirs and your space. I also take this time to show your dog the camera, for a lot of dogs this is the first time they have in contact with one and may be unsure initially.

02.

The first interaction

Once your dog has had the chance to decompress, get familiar with the location, and they are comfortable with me, we can start taking their portraits! I always like to start with the "formal" portraits first. This allows me to capture the images and poses before they get too excited or dirty. This includes posed portraits with you and your family that are frame worthy for the grand parents.

03.

It's Play Time!

After your formal portraits, it is time to loosen up and have some fun! These are the images that will capture your dog's full bodied personality. This will have them running around, jumping, playing, and over all enjoying their outing. This also allows them to decompress if needed.

04.

Go with the flow

It is ok if your dog seems to be "misbehaving" during their session. They may not be listening as well as they do at home. I promise they are not misbehaving or being "bad", the location is most likely new to them and new environments are exciting for dogs. Your dog is the leader of the session and we are going to follow their lead on where to go and when to stop. Dogs are never forced to do anything that may cause them to become stressed, this includes sitting for a portrait. I promise you will still get portraits you love.

05.

Your dog will be tired

At the end of your session, your dog is going to be exhausted! They will be worked mentally and physically during our time together. Portrait sessions on average run about 45 minutes to an hour and the entire time your dog is going to be engaged.
